Submitting a Travel Authorization Request
Employees who are traveling must submit a Travel Authorization Request before departing. This process ensures secure access to Encore systems while abroad and prevents connectivity or access issues.
Steps to Submit a Travel Authorization
- Go to the Service Desk Portal.
- Select Submit a Ticket.
- Under Category, choose Requesting Access or an Installation.
- Then select Authorization While Traveling.
- Complete all the required details, including travel dates, destination, and purpose of travel.
- Once submitted, your request will be reviewed by IT and/or your manager, depending on the type of travel.
Important Notes
- Failure to submit a Travel Authorization in advance may result in multiple access problems, such as:
- Inability to connect to hotel Wi‑Fi networks.
- Loss of access to sites and applications requiring Single Sign‑On (SSO), including tools like Microsoft 365, Zoho, and others.
- For business travel, standard authorization approval from IT is sufficient.
- For leisure travel, additional justification is required, along with manager approval before IT can authorize access.
Authorized Travel Locations
If you will be connecting from a country that has not been pre-approved, a security assessment will be required to evaluate potential risks.
- This assessment may take a few days to complete.
- If full authorization is not possible, you will need to provide the public IP address of your connection site once on location, so IT can manually whitelist it for secure access.
The following countries are exempt from additional security assessments:
- Canada
- El Salvador
- France
- Mexico
- United Kingdom
- United States
